FlashFire XP 32Bit (0.9d) - Developing Version

Hello.

With this version, you can easily enable / disable FlashFire.

After install FlashFire, execute ffcntl.exe from program files menu.
Then, small icon will appear in system tray, and you can control FlashFire by clicking right button on tray icon.
In my test, this version works well for HIBERNATION.

Here is a new version. 9d:
In this version, you can see the buffer status of FlashFire via the tray icon.
Red bar indicates how many buffers are used.

It still needs to reboot for disable or enable FlashFire09a.
The ATTO benmark of FlashFire09a is practically same as that of FlashFire099.

"Disable/enable cluster padding" can be applied to 099 version.
Can "disable/enable cluster padding" be applied in the 09a version ?

It is strange, you don't need reboot system. :?
( You can see the status of FlashFire by the icon in system tray when you execute ffcntl.exe program)
In addition, the status of disabling/enabling is applied to the system registry.
So, the system remembers the status even with system rebooting.

The registry controlling scripts are still usable, and I disabled cluster padding by default in this version.

When I disable FlashFire09a using the icon, the icon clearly shows "disable". But when I run the ATTO benmark test, ATTO clearly shows that the PC is still in FlashFire "enable" mode.

After I reboot the PC, ATTO then shows that FlashFire is really "disable".

Note: I uninstall the old 099 version before I install the new 09a version.

Uninstalled 09a and installed 09b.
Confirm that FlashFire09b works.
It does not require reboot for disable or enable the FlashFire.
Thanks for the update.

I presume that FlashFire09b works with "disable cluster padding" by default! ?

It does disable but when I try to re-enable, my system freeze and I have to hard reboot (and it restarts disabled).

This happens to me as well to my HP mini 1030nr 16GB SSD;
but not to my Toshiba M70 100GB HDD.

It is well known that these 16GB SSD is extremely slow in random write.
Apparently when the "disable" is clicked, it will take some time (could be order of 10-30 sec ??) for 32MB Ram data to flush back to the slow SSD.
If the "enable" is clicked before data flush back is complete, the system may freeze!?

Maybe Zartto could try this out in his slow SSD and fast Kensington SSD.

In my test on Toshiba M70 100GB HDD, confirmed FlashFire09c works for Hibernation and enable/disable FlashFire.

Need to try on HP mini 1030nr later.
Tried on both of HP mini 1030nr 16GB SSD (1 GB Ram and 2GB Ram) netbooks and confirmed both work as well.
