From my experience:
When an newer version of FlashFire is to be installed, the older version has to be uninstalled first.

At the "Control Panel", select "Add or Remove Programs".
Then select the "FlashFire" program and click Remove.
The PC will unistall this older FlashFire and restart/reboot.
When the PC is restarted, an newer version can be installed if you like.

so i was a long time user of the older version of this, and tried the new .9d (one with the system tray)
well i benched it, on my dell mini with 16gb stec ssd, and the results are surprising

hopefully that works
looks like disabled is significatly quicker with read and write in all but the smallest file sizes
thought / ideas why?

Hi Again Zartto,

I have been more tests regarding the chkdsk at startup.

I have made several tests disabling some of the tweaks and programs running on my system (including with/without ffcntl in the tray).

The problem still occurs let's say about 1/3 of the times.

I have an Acer Aspire One 150.

For some reason windows thinks that there is some problem in the disk and activates the "dirty bit".

Anyway, no real corruption occurs, since when disabling ff and running chkdsk at startup, no error is found.

The activations of the bit seems to occur in the shut-down, since if I check the bit ("fsutil dirty query c:") before shutting down, the disk "has no errors".

I have returned to version 0.99 and there is no problem.

Maybe the problem could be in the software you added to "communicate" with ffcntl to see how full the buffer is? (and that maybe leaves ff waiting for ffcntl to contact and windows thinks it has not written all the information the "disk" correctly)

Remember that I was one with the registry corruption problems (I don't think it may be related, but you never know).

If I have some more information I will write again.

Anyway, thanks again for your very useful work,

Regards,
Ramon

Hello developer,

I have used this software on Windows 7 RTM for a while, and I've got only one problem is "Hibernation".
Therefore, I would like to try this developing version for Windows 7.
When is it available?

Thank you for your support.

Regards,
znetter

I removed installer from 0.9f and others.
You can install it on Windows 7, but I have no report on Windows 7 x86.
Only I know it works correctly on Windows 2000.
